One of the most common and frequent disorders in women is VAGINAL MYCOSIS, an infection that is generally caused by the Candida albicans fungus. Other fungi that sometimes trigger this problem are Candida Glabrata, Candida Krusei and Candida Tropicalis.
Under optimal conditions, the vaginal mucosa always remains moist and at a slightly acidic pH. Under certain conditions, however, this perfect symbiosis is altered and fungi are allowed to take over and they begin to cause discomfort.
Treatment is normally simple, thanks to topical products that restore the vaginal pH and create a hostile environment for fungal proliferation.
